Master Gardener course

So, I'm thinking about studying to become a Master Gardener. There's an information session this coming Monday, October 17, at Van Dusen Botanical Garden, during which I will have to complete "a multiple-choice test on general gardening situations."

Alternatively, I could apply to the UBC garden design program for significantly more money.

Thoughts? Advice? Anyone undertaken either of these programs?

If I had the money I would go for the design course. I think in the end it would be a very inspirational and interesting course. Being a Master Gardener is something that has never appealed to me. To each their own though.

Hi Andrea Barbra has done the masters coarse and I think it's made her really knowledgeable about the technical side of gardening but not as much with the design aspect. So if you have to pick a class you’d have to decide your preference. I'd take the design class.
